HP Stream 11 and HP Stream 13 Review - 2015

What if I told you that you can get a solid low budget laptop for under $400. Well, nowadays it's not really a big deal anymore and everyone is
pretty much used to it. But among the huge market and a variety of manufacturers there are always some that stand out.
We are going to take a closer look on some of them, for example  HP Stream 11 .

Some basic information

This 11-inch laptop can be bought on Amazon for $ 230. Comes with a full version of Windows 8.1 and 1TB of online storage for one year
through Microsoft's OneDrive service. It gets even better, this laptop has a full year of Office 365 for one PC and one tablet. If you
don't need both, you can always give one to someone or sell it.

System

There are a dual-core 2.16GHz Intel Celeron N2840 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of solid state storage.
So, basically it  has the same components as the average Chromebook but with full operating Windows system. It is cloud-friendly, meaning it uses
cloud storage to run some processes and apps but it still has a full  Windows OS.

Surprisingly, the Windows 8.1 OS runs smooth on this  underpowered laptop. Mostly because they lowered the minimum requirements for Windows 8.1.
The advantage of having a chromebook-like laptop with Windows OS is is that you can install Windows apps such as Photoshop, Office, etc.
They might not run as well as on a desktop PC but you will still be able to get the work done in no time.

Design and display

You get what you pay for, and if you're looking for premium luxury design you're looking at the wrong laptop.
Considering that there is no fancy materials used, the plastic design looks pretty cool. It comes in three colours:Horizon Blue, Orchid Magenta,
4G Version. There are also three sizes: 11.6-inch, 13.3-inch, 13.3-inch with 4G. The keyboard and typing experience are great.

Long story short

Pros: Cheap, light and compact, nice design, long battery life (seven hours), full operating Windows 8.1

Cons: We waned to write 'speed' here but considering that it's a cloud-based laptop and the speed for being a cloud-based laptop is great we can't think of anything else to write here.

Bottom line: Maybe the best laptop in that price range for school work, vacation and traveling and everyday surfing and scrolling.
